How to take apart your LCD monitor

With the base removed, turn the monitor upside down with the screen facing away from
Notice that on this base, there are two hooks, you have to slide the base back a
little for these hooks to disengage from the back of the monitor.
Using your 1/2" putty knife, or similar tool, pry up the front of the monitor. You
will have to use a little force to get the front and the back separated.
Continue moving along prying and separating as you go.
Eventually, the entire bottom side will be separated.
